Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making this website usable for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies.

This accessibility statement applies to the Axia Computer Systems website at www.axia.co.uk. It explains how we work to make this site usable for everyone, the standards we aim to meet, and how you can report any problems you find so we can put them right.
Our commitment
We believe everyone should be able to use our website. We design and build this site to be accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies. We are committed to providing an inclusive online experience that lines up with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy as a responsible UK business.
Conformance status
We aim to make this website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2at level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognised standard for digital accessibility and are issued by the W3C.
We assess the site regularly using a combination of automated tooling and manual review, and we address any issues that fall short of this standard as quickly as we can.
What we do to make this site accessible
- Use semantic HTML so assistive technologies can interpret the structure of each page.
- Provide descriptive page titles, headings and link text so navigation makes sense out of context.
- Maintain strong colour contrast between text and backgrounds across the site.
- Make all interactive elements usable with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Provide alt text for meaningful images and decorative alternatives where appropriate.
- Resize and reflow content cleanly on small screens, large screens and at up to 200% zoom.
- Offer captions or transcripts for video and audio content where it appears on the site.
- Test new pages and major changes against our accessibility checklist before publishing.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. This can include:
- PDF documents and other downloadable files produced by third parties.
- Maps and interactive content embedded from third-party providers.
- Older blog posts, news items and case studies published before our current build.
- User-generated content such as images uploaded with limited alt text.
We are actively working to reduce these gaps. If you encounter something on the site that is difficult to use, please let us know.
Reporting accessibility problems
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or you would like any of our information in an alternative format such as large print, accessible PDF or audio, please get in touch:
- Email: info@axia.co.uk
- Phone: 01923 333111
- Post: Axia House, 3D Regal Way, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD24 4YJ
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five working days and to discuss a fix or alternative format with you as soon as we can.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the accessibility regulations in the UK. If you contact us with an accessibility concern and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate the matter to the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Review
We review and update this accessibility statement at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change to the website.
